Meet the Team

Chris Lacey

I am a freelance developer with 25 years of experience in the education sector. After a stint at the NSPCC’s Schools Service, I moved to Budapest where I taught English and first learnt software and website development. My first project was the Teacher’s Pet toolbar, which helped teachers create classroom resources such as crosswords and flashcards, followed by WordLearner.com, a multilingual vocabulary-learning platform for both students and teachers. When I returned to the UK, I shifted my focus to WordPress development and saw the potential it held for schools!

Kati Lacey

I am a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, and my skills extend beyond these areas into animation and web work. I create all of the artwork for SchoolSays.

Alongside my work for SchoolSays, I also produce map illustrations, design logos, leaflets and posters, handle book layout, and develop branding for local businesses, theatres, art centres, museums, and restaurants. You can see my work here.
